The Peculiar Woman is the only one who knows how best to explain what makes her Peculiar. She is the married or unmarried woman who has seen it all in the hands of men, yet, still smiling.
The Peculiar Woman is not an ecomium of absurdity but an ensemble of patience, strength, resilience, candour, sincerity, purpose and integrity. She is the woman who through the aegis of calculated oppression emerges a winner over a patriarchal society of misguided misogynist who believe that the woman is an afterthought created to assuage his male ego and massage his twisted complex personality.
The Peculiar Woman is a mother who From her inexhaustible womb of abstract and physical creation heralds a cause for the downtrodden; the same progeny for which man claims ownership. Through her actions and inactions she braces the present and the future with her bent back of indefatigablity, showcasing her prowress as the only one who understands that it is more important to preserve a specie than to fight for her rights.
The Peculiar Woman blog is an encomium of the woman story. It seeks to give a voice to the injustices and oppression the women folk are exposed to in the hands of their male counterparts. From Eden to the humblest backyard in Milwaukee women have been abused, abased, used and discarded. Many have emerged from gruesome versions of the scariest stories to become clan warriors, while some others have caved in to the unbearable agonies and signed off before their time. Yet, many others are the tartared dresses, wild eyes and dirty hairs that roam the streets endlessly.
The motive is to give the woman a chance to tell her story. To help the woman give a voice to her own Peculiarity, knowing that she alone can tell her story in the best possible way. The Peculiar Woman Stories shared here are true, factual and non exaggerated. The only thing that changes is the name, time and of course, geographical locations, all aimed at protecting the image of the victims. We are here to help in our little way. We want a better life for our women. A better world that will maraginalize the woman. A world where the woman can really feel at home. Families are breaking apart because the society continues to turn a blind eye to the unending injustices faced by the women folk.
